Elementary Visual Art

The Visual Arts classes promote self-expression, critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, and visual literacy as students learn to create, present, and respond to art. Students are able to connect their learning in Visual Art to other disciplines as well as the world around them.

The elementary Visual Art classes are aligned to the SC College and Career-Ready Standards for Visual and Performing Arts Proficiency for Visual Art and Design.

All Spartanburg District Six elementary school students in 1st through 5th grades participate in a weekly visual art class.
