Dorman Theatre Summer Program

Musical Theatre Camp July 8-12, 9 am to 2 pm daily, for Rising 6th-12th graders, $75

Have dreams of performing in a musical, but two left feet keep tripping you up? Want a big solo, but feeling too froggy? Join us for our Dorman Theatre Summer Program's Musical Theatre Camp, July 8-12, 9 am - 2 pm each day at the Dorman High School Fine Arts Center. You will learn basic movement and singing techniques, exploring character, stage presence and intentions, culminating in a musical theatre showcase at the end of the week. All for only $75! Best value in the upstate! All camp attendees will receive breakfast and lunch each day, and a tshirt!

Come be a part of the magic of technical theatre! Discover how the lights, sound and crew make all the big productions come alive so smoothly. You will learn basic stagecraft, lighting, sound and crew movements.  Using these skills, you will serve on the technical crew for the Advanced Theatre Camp, including evening rehearsals Aug 5-8, 3-7 pm, and Performances Aug 9-10. All for FREE! All camp attendees will receive breakfast and lunch each day of camp, dinner during rehearsals and a tshirt!


Advanced Theatre Camp: For the most serious and more experienced musical theatre enthusiast in Rising 6th-12th grades

Frozen Jr

Camp: July 22-Aug 2, 9 am to 5 pm daily, excluding weekends, breakfast and lunch included

Rehearsals:  Aug 5-8, 3-7 pm, dinner included

Performances Aug 9 at 7 pm and  Aug 10 at 2 pm

Tuition: $200, includes a tshirt.

Prerequisites: This is an INTENSE 2-week camp where students will audition for and rehearse Frozen Jr. Due to the difficulty of the schedule and content of the show, you must have previously attended a Dorman Theatre Summer Camp or submit a theatre resume to be considered.

Attendance: You must be available for all camp dates and rehearsals and performances.  Missing one day is equivalent to missing an entire week of a full production. If you must miss one day, you may still participate, but you will not be considered for any lead roles.
