Middle School Visual Art Mission

The Visual Arts classes promote self-expression, critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, and visual literacy as students advance artistic skills skills of creating, presenting, and responding to art. Students connect Visual Art knowledge and skills to other disciplines as well as the world around them in order to build college, career, and life readiness.

The middle school Visual Art classes are aligned to the SC College and Career-Ready Standards for Visual and Performing Arts Proficiency for Visual Art and Design.

Middle school students in District Six may choose to take Visual Art as a fine arts exploratory course.
