Dorman Theatre Summer Program
The Dorman Theatre Summer Program (DTSP) began in 2015 with one week-long acting camp and has grown to four camps each summer with a full musical production offering free performances for the community. The DTSP offers acting classes and musical theatre classes, in addition to technical theatre classes, serving all students in grades 4th-12th grades from Spartanburg and surrounding counties. The faculty and staff of the DTSP are highly-qualified, licensed professionals with over 50 years of theatre experience. Over three hundred students have participated in the summer program, with over fifteen hundred audience members enjoying the shows. In 2017, the DTSP successfully launched its first musical, Alice in Wonderland Jr., to rave reviews. The next summer brought another incredible production of Honk, Jr. We produced the amazing Frozen, Jr in the summer of 2019. The DTSP continues to grow each year.
